綠島先民移居綠島後，生活以農耕為主，但因氣候與地質的關係，可耕地主要種植為番薯及花生。隨著時代變遷，農田長年荒廢，藉由【花生什麼事】體驗課程，復育綠島文化地景花生沙仔園，融合食農教育推廣，解說綠島傳統喜慶文化，提供旅人體驗製作古早味花生糖。
